Every pattern we publish is worked from start to finish using an ordinary hook and everyday, easy-to-find yarn – the same materials a beginner would realistically use. If a step doesn’t make sense or a stitch count doesn’t add up when we test it, the pattern is revised before publication, not after.

Honest Gear Recommendations

Our hook, yarn, and kit reviews are based on genuine research and, where possible, hands-on use. We do not invent specifications, features, or prices. When we haven’t personally tested a product, we say so and base the review on verified manufacturer information and consistent, credible user feedback rather than guesswork.

Accuracy and Beginner Safety First

Because our audience is largely brand-new crafters, we prioritize clarity and safety over cleverness. That means explaining stitches in full before using abbreviations, calling out steps where beginners commonly go wrong, and including basic safety notes around tools like hooks, scissors, and stitch markers where relevant.
